Reds Mark Their Fourth Consecutive Premier League Defeat This Season

Liverpool’s Premier League woes deepened as Brentford outplayed and outfought them to secure a fully deserved 3-2 victory at the Gtech Community Stadium. The defeat marked Liverpool’s fourth consecutive league loss, exposing once again their defensive vulnerabilities and lack of control.

How Brentford Outclassed Liverpool

Brentford made an explosive start, breaking the deadlock within five minutes. Michael Kayode’s long throw was flicked on by Kristoffer Ajer, allowing Ouattara to adjust quickly and finish smartly at the back post.

Liverpool’s best chance of the opening period came when Florian Wirtz fired narrowly wide from close range, still searching for his first goal for the club. Brentford, however, remained the more composed and organized side. Jordan Henderson, facing his former team, and Ouattara both went close before Giorgi Marmardashvili denied Mikkel Damsgaard’s powerful effort from distance.

The home side doubled their lead before halftime following a quick counterattack. After Liverpool’s appeals for a penalty were waved away, Hugo Ekitike lost possession in midfield.
