Guehi and Glasner Set to Depart

News of Mateta’s openness to a move emerged shortly after confirmation of major exits at Crystal Palace. Marc Guehi is closing in on a transfer to Manchester City, with an initial fee of £20 million agreed and a sell-on clause included in the deal. Discussions are ongoing regarding the finer details, but the transfer is believed to be at an advanced stage.

Glasner confirmed that Guehi is in the final phases of completing his move and will not feature in Palace’s upcoming fixture against Sunderland. Like Mateta, the Palace boss is also seeking a fresh challenge and will step down at the end of the season.

The Austrian coach revealed that he informed club chairman Steve Parish back in October of his intention not to renew his contract.
