Job Ochieng continued his fine run of form in Spain after scoring the decisive goal for Real Sociedad B in their 2-1 victory over Málaga CF on Monday.
The Harambee Stars winger once again proved his importance to the Spanish side, stepping up when it mattered most. Ochieng had been included in the senior matchday squad over the weekend as Real Sociedad faced Real Madrid in La Liga. However, he featured for the reserve team in Spain’s second tier on Monday night.
Ochieng made his mark in the second half after the two sides were locked at 1-1. He rose highest to meet a corner delivered by Mikel Rodriguez, guiding his header goalward before it took a slight deflection and found the back of the net in the 68th minute. The strike ultimately sealed all three points for Sociedad B.
Málaga had taken the lead in the 15th minute through David Larrubia, who headed home to give the visitors an early advantage. Sociedad responded positively and restored parity thanks to Gorka Carrera, setting the stage for a tense finish.
How Many Goals for Ochieng So Far
With both teams pushing for a winner, Ochieng delivered the breakthrough that halted Málaga’s momentum as they chase promotion. His latest effort takes his tally to three goals and two assists in 18 appearances for Sociedad B this season.
The Kenyan forward’s consistent displays have not gone unnoticed, earning him opportunities with the senior squad. He recently made his top-flight debut as a substitute against Elche and also featured briefly in a Copa del Rey clash against Athletic Club.
